What is Uvea?
The uvea plays an important role in the normal functioning of the eye. The iris, the ciliary body and the choroid are called the uvea. The iris provides the eye with oxygen and nutrients; it acts as a shutter, controlling the amount of light entering the eye and also contains muscles that help the eye to focus.
Uveitis is the inflammation of any part of the uvea and the symptoms are light sensitivity, blurring of vision, pain, redness of the eye and floaters. Causes of uveitis include infections, auto-immune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, ankylosing spondylitis, Reiter’s disease etc, severe injury to the other eye and also due to some unknown causes.
What We do for that?
At High Sight we investigate patients with uveitis in depth and treat according to the cause of the disease. Test and investigations include blood tests, mantoux tests and X-rays. The treatment will be aimed at treating the underlying cause of disease, relieving pain and discomfort, preventing the loss of sight from the disease and its complications such as glaucoma, macular edema and scarring of the retina. Steroids are given as eyedrops or sometimes as tablets especially in severe cases to reduce inflammation.
With treatment, the disease can be controlled and vision preserved.

Usha madam treatment was very good and smooth...they done "Femto Lasik" treatment to my eyes according to the test reports...first half day my eyes were burning and watering continuously after using drops and taking proper rest it got settled and from next day onwards, I can feel very comfortable without spects,too far thin letters are blurry and it will take time for us to cure and have to follow medication without failure to avoid dry eyes,I'm giving this review after a week from Femto treatment and those who are willing to Lasik I'll suggest high sight
