Contact lenses give a wider, unobstructed field of peripheral vision than spectacles, and won't fog up or collect moisture — a real advantage for sport and other outdoor activity. Many patients also simply prefer how they look and feel day to day.
Lens types we fit
- Standard lenses — spherical or toric, worn daily for around 8 hours and replaced yearly.
- Disposable lenses — spherical or toric, replaced daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly depending on the lens.
- Cosmetic lenses — worn purely to change the apparent colour of the eye.
- Bifocal lenses — correct both distance and near vision, including presbyopia, in a single lens.
Our contact lens clinic fits soft and semi-soft lenses across all four categories, with hygiene training and follow-up included so you leave with a lens that's comfortable and safe from day one.
