Eye care built for children
Children experience and describe vision problems very differently to adults — a child with blurry vision in one eye may never mention it, simply because they don't realise their sight is any different. Our pediatric ophthalmology service is designed around that reality: gentle, unhurried, and equipped to diagnose and treat the full range of childhood eye conditions in one place.
Why early screening matters
We recommend every child have a comprehensive eye examination before they start school. Conditions such as refractive error and amblyopia (lazy eye) can develop and progress without any obvious outward sign, and are hardest to treat the later they're caught — particularly in children under five, who often can't describe a vision problem even once they notice it themselves. Screening matters even more where there's a family history of eye conditions, and we recommend periodic check-ups through childhood rather than a single early visit.
