Conditions we treat
The retina is the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye, and damage here is often the difference between good vision and permanent sight loss. We manage the full range of retinal conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), retinal tears and retinal detachment.
Diagnosis
We use Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) to image the retina layer by layer, and fundus fluorescein angiography to map its blood supply — together giving a detailed, early picture of conditions that often show no symptoms in their earliest, most treatable stage.
Treatment
Depending on what we find, treatment ranges from intravitreal injections that control diabetic and age-related retinal disease, to vitreoretinal surgery for retinal tears, detachment and other complex cases — delivered by our fellowship-trained retina team.
